AFTER SCHOOL CLUB ASSISTANT

The After School Club assistant will be expected to:

  • To support delivery of sports, play and craft sessions to Barr View children who attend the after-school club (with a focus on age 3-7)
  • To support lead staff to deliver fun physical activity and play sessions
  • To set up and tidy up equipment
  • To always act as a friendly face to the children and encourage & support them to join in in activities.
  • To ensure all activities are delivered safely
  • To adhere to Kingsbury SSP CIC Safeguarding & Child protection policy at all times
  • To promote the work and image of the Kingsbury SSP CIC by always maintaining high standards of personal appearance and adopting a friendly, professional approach to the public.
  • To communicate effectively with parents / carers.
  • To adhere to Kingsbury SSP CIC key conditions of employment
  • Adhere to the primary school behaviour and safeguarding policy at all times.

DANCE / GYMNASTICS COACH

THE DANCE / GYMNASTICS COACH WILL BE EXPECTED:

  • To improve primary school staff knowledge & confidence to deliver dance / or gymnastics through team teaching and mentoring
  • To deliver high quality curriculum Physical Education lessons in contracted primary schools.
  • To deliver fun, engaging extra-curricular physical activities / clubs
  • To deliver KSSP workshops such as creative play leader training, girls active, gross motor skill development
  • To motivate and engage primary pupils to become physically active
  • To support other KSSP coaches to become confident in dance / or gymnastics
  • To establish and run several community clubs

CASUAL SPORTS COACH

The Casual Sports Coach will be expected to:

  • deliver structured sports clubs after school
  • plan sessions effectively
  • engage young people in fun and exciting sessions
  • have a minimum of one level 2 NGB coaching qualifcation
  • have a professional manner and be able to communicate effectively with primary staff

PLAY MENTOR (7.5hrs-9hrs)

Play Mentors are required to:

  • have experience working with young people
  • understand how to run safe physical activities
  • be able to motivate and engage primary age pupils
  • work lunchtimes, 1.5hrs a day (potentially 3.5hrs on a Friday)
  • 5 days a week

PE APPRENTICE

Primary PE & Wellbeing apprentices are based in one school and the role includes:

  • supporting PE lessons
  • running lunchtime activity
  • helping the PE coordinator
  • supporting after school clubs
  • training and development
