Yesterday evening saw KSSP host the Year 3 & 4 Mixed Football Primary Competition. The atmosphere was electric with 17 teams representing their Primary Schools and over 130 pupils taking part!

The competition was held at Erdington Academy’s excellent 4G artificial pitch, with 4 pitches set up hosting all 32 fixtures!

The standard of football from each player representing their school was exceptional – there was even a bicycle-kick attempt in the final, which unfortunately hit the cross-bar!

Aside from the football, we’re extremely proud the of the teamwork, passion and sportsmanship each pupil demonstrated throughout the competition!

A huge well done to Abbey Catholic Primary School’s A and B team and Maryvale Catholic Primary School’s B team for progressing to the final which will be held next Tuesday, again at Erdington Academy.

Thank you to the outstanding KSSP Sports Leaders and Level 3 Apprentices for their efforts in officiating, scoring and organising the competition.

It was also great to see so many parents turn-out to cheer on their children!

We welcome more Primary Schools on Thursday evening as they give it their all in hope of reaching the final!
