Thursday night saw the start of the KSSP competition season with the cross country event which was hosted by Erdington Academy.  Over 120 pupils took part in a boys and a girls race.  All the pupils represented their schools brilliantly and the scores at the end were extremely close.  We had our new level 2 PE apprentices carrying out an extensive warm up before the start of the races so all the pupils were prepared and they were supported by 18 Erdington Academy students who acted as marshals throughout the event – many thanks to them!  When the results were calculated, Great Barr Primary were confirmed in third place not far behind our second placed team, Timberley.  Our winners on the day were the Abbey Primary school who took first place.  Congratulations to the 11 schools who took part!
