Last night saw the girls football competition take centre stage as 10 primary teams looked to take away the title. The standard of football was high and all participants demonstrated some excellent skills. After the first group stages, Timberely, Colebourne, Featherstone and Paget progressed through to the semi-finals. Both games went to penalties with Colebourne and Timberley producing a nerveless display to reach the final and Paget and Featherstone moving into the 3rd vs. 4th play-off game. Both games were very tense and headed into the dreaded penalty shoot-out. Paget managed to overcome Featherstone and Colecbourne were victorious over a spirited Timberley team to take the title. The Colebourne team have now won tickets to the Women’s FA Cup Final in May. Well done to all those who took part!
