Tonight saw the first cluster sports hall athletics competition at St. Edmund Campion. Pupils had to compete in 5 different field events; standing long jump, triple jump, speed bounce, chest push and javelin. After the field events, the scores were extremely close. Next up were the track events including obstacle, sprint and relay races. All pupils produced some incredible performances, but eventually the pupils from Maryvale won the event with a great score of 160 points. There were many young sports leaders supporting this event – many thanks to them for all their hard work and to those parents, staff and carers that came to support. Maryvale now progress to the final of the sports hall athletics.
