Thursday night saw 13 teams take to the courts at Erdington Academy. Sports leaders and PE apprentices umpired many games to see who would be victorious in this cluster event. 2 girls and 2 boys from each school competed in group games to determine who made the semi-finals. After a nail-biting wait, Town Primary, Colebourne, St. Mary and John and Birches Green won their groups. In the semi-final, Town and Colebourne both won their games to progress to the final. In the 3rd vs 4th play-off, St.Mary and St. John triumphed over Birches Green. In the final, Town Primary played some excellent tennis to win the tie and the tournament from Colebourne in second place. Town will now go on to represent the partnership at the level 3 Birmingham School Games. Many thanks to the PE Apprentices, sports leaders from Erdington Academy, school staff and the parents and carers for supporting the event.
