Last night saw 7 more teams compete in the KSSP Year 3 & 4 Mixed Football Primary Competition at Erdington Academy.

Once again, the standard of football from each team and player representing their school was exceptional – teams were organised in formations, tactics were in place and all schools looked great in their full football kits! This is a great credit to the Primary School P.E staff who have been coaching their pupils in preparation for this competition.

Through out the the competition, there were a number of quality goals scored – some were placed in the net after great link-up play and passes; and some were just absolute screamers, flying in to the top corner!

The goalkeepers for each team were also in great form – pulling off a number of acrobatic saves and tipping balls around the post to make it difficult for the strikers!

The competition was closely-competed with 2nd, 3rd and 4th all level on 19 points – only being separated by goal difference.

Congratulations to Paget Primary School in 1st and Christ the King Catholic Pirmary School in 2nd for progressing to the final!

Thank you to our Level 2 Apprentices who were fantastic in setting up, officiating and organising the competition.

The final will take place at Erdington Academy on Tuesday 9th October and KSSP will host the following teams:

  • Abbey Catholic Primary School A
  • Abbey Catholic Primary School B
  • Christ the King Catholic Primary School
  • Maryvale Catholic Primary School B
  • Paget Primary School

Looking forward to a top-quality final!
